#PINNACLE TV TUNER FOR PC PRO#
Here's a pic of all usage data with the TVCenter Pro running. I also checked CPU usage and it jumps from about 17% - 30%, not sure whether or not that is considered high usage for this process. Here are my settings in the TVCenter app. I searched the knowledge base for this issues and followed their (Pinnacle's) directions to run this on a slow PC to see if that would help, even though I don't think mine would be considered slow for an HTPC. I also tried setting a recording as I saw that suggested on another site, that didn't work - the entire recording is a frozen screen. If I change channels it always starts to stutter immediately, after changing a few channels it freezes all together. Video will play just fine when I first open the app. PC TVCenter Pro 6.4 (DL'ed most recent version from website).I'm running WinXP SP3 and since this was a little older it seemed better designed for my system. I chose this one for two main reasons - 1) I just wanted a simple tuner to watch OTA TV and 2) most of the other tuners out there seemed built for Win 7 with Media Center. I bought the Pinnacle PCTV 80e HD Mini Stick. However I'm getting video stuttering, freeze ups and out of sync audio. I've upgraded a few components and today tried to add a simple TV Tuner. OK, so I'm getting close to getting my HTPC finished.
